People Analytics Partner

The People Analytics Partner serves as a strategic advisor to senior business and HR leaders across Marine, Energy and Group Functions, enabling data informed decisions on workforce, talent, organizational effectiveness and future workforce priorities.

By combining business acumen, consulting expertise and advanced analytics, the role translates complex business challenges into actionable workforce insights and recommendations. The People Analytics Partner partners closely with leaders to identify opportunities, address organizational challenges and maximize the impact of people-related investments and interventions.

Beyond delivering insights, the role plays a key part in advancing Wärtsilä's People Analytics capabilities. This includes shaping the People Analytics roadmap, supporting the evolution and adoption of Visier, onboarding new workforce data sources and ensuring that analytics solutions continue to meet evolving business and HR needs.

The role also acts as a catalyst for data-informed decision-making, helping build analytical capabilities across HR and promoting innovative approaches to address future workforce and work challenges.

We are ideally looking for an individual based in Finland to connect and align with senior stakeholders and group corporate functions and operate across global timezones, but would consider other European locations.

Key accountabilities:

  • 1. Strategic Workforce Advisory & Business Partnering
  • * Partner with senior business leaders, HR Business Partners and COEs across Marine, Energy and Group Functions to identify strategic workforce challenges and opportunities.
  • * Shape and influence workforce, talent and organizational decisions through data-informed insights and evidence-based recommendations.
  • * Act as a trusted advisor on workforce composition, talent flows, retention, competences, leadership effectiveness and employee experience.
  • * Support business strategy execution by translating strategic priorities into workforce analytics and actionable recommendations.
  • * Facilitate strategic discussions with senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions and guide decision-making through data and evidence.
  • * Lead complex analyses to identify workforce trends, risks and opportunities impacting business performance.
  • * Deliver end-to-end people analytics projects, from problem definition and stakeholder engagement through analysis, recommendations and implementation support.
  • * Develop predictive, diagnostic and scenario-based analyses to support proactive workforce decisions.
  • 2. People Intelligence & Analytics Platform Development
  • * Lead the onboarding and integration of new data sources into Visier, including talent, learning, engagement, organizational effectiveness and workforce planning data.
  • * Collaborate with HR COEs and business stakeholders to define business requirements and prioritize analytics development initiatives.
  • * Drive the development of scalable analytics solutions, dashboards and self-service capabilities.
  • * Contribute to the People Analytics roadmap, ensuring alignment between business priorities, HR strategy and technology investments.
  • * Champion data governance principles and support the continuous improvement of workforce data quality, accessibility and trust.
  • * Partner with HR Technology, Data Governance and Process Owners to continuously enhance Wärtsilä's People Analytics ecosystem.
  • 3. Capability Building, Innovation & Thought Leadership
  • * Promote data-informed decision-making across HR and business communities.
  • * Build analytics capabilities within HR by educating stakeholders on workforce insights, analytics methodologies and best practices.
  • * Stay current with external trends in People Analytics, AI, workforce intelligence and employee listening.
  • * Drive the adoption of new analytics capabilities and innovative approaches to workforce decision-making.
  • * Contribute to the evolution of People Analytics methodologies, governance and operating models.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Required
  • * Significant experience in People Analytics, Workforce Planning, HR Consulting or a related analytical role.
  • * Experience partnering with senior business and HR leaders in a global organization.
  • * Proven track record of leading complex analytics or consulting projects from concept to implementation.
  • * Experience working with workforce data, analytics platforms and visualization tools.
  • * English is our common business lannguage, fluency in both written spoken English is mandatory.
  • Preferred
  • * Master's in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Psychology or a related field.
  • * 8-12+ years of relevant experience in consulting, People Analytics, Workforce Planning or HR Strategy.
  • * Experience with Visier and modern HR analytics ecosystems.
  • * Experience in predictive analytics, employee listening and organizational effectiveness.
  • * Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and future workforce trends.
