Product Manager - Hardware (all genders welcome)
Are you an experienced Product Manager who loves turning real user needs into devices that feel intuitive, innovative & built to last? We are looking for a Product Manager - mindset Innovation & Hardware - to own the strategy & roadmap for our hardware portfolio.
What you’ll do:
- Own end-to-end the product strategy & roadmap for the hardware portfolio & partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Software Development & Product Management as well as Commercial Stakeholders to bring devices to market that our customers trust & depend on;
- Drive innovation & challenge the status-quo of our portfolio;
- Identify where new technologies & device categories can open up new revenue streams;
- Get close to customers & partners — visit them, run discovery & attend trade fairs - bringing their reality back into the roadmap. Proactive mindset & hands-on user centricity are the core elements of this role;
- Define & prioritize hardware initiatives, balancing customer value, cost, manufacturability, certification / regulatory requirements & technical feasibility;
- Work with Hardware Engineering at eye level translating market needs into clear requirements & understand enough of the technology to have a real conversation about trade-offs;
- Ensure hardware & software evolve as one product experience, in close alignment with the Software Product Managers;
- Manage the full product lifecycle — from concept & business case through launch, ramp-up, optimization & structured phase-out — including pricing & portfolio performance (revenue, margin, adoption);
- Coordinate the roll-out of new products & features together with Sales, Marketing and Support, and ensure a successful market launch;
- Act as internal product expert & ambassador for the hardware portfolio - with innovation mindset - building alignment across stakeholders.
What you bring:
- 4+ years of product management experience with physical products, ideally in Medtech, Healthtech, or voice productivity solutions. Experience with dictation hardware is the ideal case;
- A strong startup or scale-up background with can-do energy to build things from scratch & move fast;
- Enough technical understanding — or the demonstrated ability to grasp hardware quickly — to communicate at eye level with hardware developers;
- A structured, analytical mindset combined with the drive to get out of the building & talk to users;
- A proven track record of driving innovation & product discovery — someone who leads initiatives & energizes a team around a clear direction;
- Ability to translate complex user needs into clear product decisions & priorities;
- Strong stakeholder management across technical, commercial & operational partners;
- Fluency in both German & English are mandatory (written and spoken).
