Description

About the company

Our client is a cybersecurity company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take ownership of a strategic product area, dividing time between direct conversations with business customers and structured planning of upcoming releases. Work side by side with engineers on scope and priorities, and keep stakeholders informed through clear written and spoken updates. The position can lead to a wider leadership remit as the business expands.

What you'll do

- Lead one of two strategic product areas, either a security approach for emerging technology or AI-driven tooling that makes customers more efficient.

- Devote roughly half your time to talking with customers and with internal sales, success and sales engineering colleagues to test direction and learn their challenges.

- Devote the other half to planning, including drafting business requirements documents, defining scope, setting KPIs and maintaining roadmaps that range from a couple of weeks to half a year.

- Collaborate with engineers each day to size sprints, rank features and keep delivery on schedule.

- Adjust the roadmap using customer feedback, usage figures and renewal trends, and make firm decisions to stop, change course or invest further in each initiative.

- Present strategy, trade-offs, risks and results to cross-functional partners through well-organized documents and presentations.

- Develop into a senior product leadership role as the organization grows.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- At least five years in product management for technical business-to-business software, including growing established offerings.

- Hands-on product background in identity, security or governance of AI systems.

- History of owning a customer-facing product and personally leading technical discussions with customers and stakeholders.

- Track record of launching a new product from scratch, or of making sound decisions when reliable data is scarce.

- Experience turning around a product that was falling short of goals.

- Enough technical depth to take part in architecture discussions with engineers on a daily basis.

- Well-organized written and verbal communication.

- Ease in dealing with large organizations as customers.

- Willingness to be in the office 3 to 5 days per week.

Bonus points

- A stint at a well-known security, identity or infrastructure vendor.

- Familiarity with access management or related infrastructure and security areas.
