Product Owner - 3705151 (Calgary, AB)

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Product Owner position! This is a 12+ month contract with good potential to extend and will be onsite in Calgary, Alberta.

This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Create and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and customer impact
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications for development teams
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder demonstrations
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with billing, customer service, legal, finance, and other departments
• Make strategic prioritization decisions and communicate trade-offs when resources are limited
• Analyze customer feedback and usage data to identify pain points and drive product improvements
• Track cross-team dependencies to ensure seamless delivery and prevent blockers
• Resolve competing priorities and manage stakeholder conflicts diplomatically
• Ensure quality readiness by validating work meets acceptance criteria before release
• Monitor and report on product performance metrics and KPIs to leadership
• Maintain transparent communication on project timelines, releases, and roadmap updates

What You'll Need to Have:

• 8+ years of Product Owner experience in complex technology environments
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to lead teams through the full delivery lifecycle
• Proven ability to make data-driven decisions and maintain a customer-first mindset
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence technical teams and executive stakeholders alike
• Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and facilitating conflict resolution
• SAP platform experience highly preferred
• Energy industry or Canadian regulatory experience a plus
• Product Owner certifications (CSPO, PSPO) a plus

Pay Range: $70-73/hr CAD
