Product Owner - Data

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within complex technology or data transformation programmes
• Strong understanding of modern data strategies, producer/consumer models, and data products
• Experience delivering cloud-based data technology change
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and influencing skills
• Experience working in large-scale Agile environments
• Financial services experience, particularly in mortgages, is desirable
• Experience building or shaping Agile teams is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap
• Prioritise business requirements to maximise customer and commercial value
• Lead data technology change across software and infrastructure
• Champion modern data strategies, data products, data quality, and governance
• Influence and engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Work closely with Agile teams to drive successful delivery

We at Spencer Rose are seeking an experienced Product Owner for a transformational data programme with one of our Tier 1 banking customers. The role will help maximise the value of a modern data platform, deliver cloud-based data technology, and shape the future of mortgage data services. This is a 6–12+ month contract starting as soon as possible, based in Leeds or Halifax with hybrid working and two days a week onsite. Interviews are expected to take place this week.
