Production Coordinator The Production Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the efficient processing and ordering of all products required for window and door projects, ensuring orders are accurate, materials are available and products are ready for manufacture and installation when required. Working Hours:Monday Thursday, 8am 5pm, Friday 8am 3pm Location:Dunloy Salary: To be discussed at interview stage The Role We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Production Coordinator to oversee the processing and ordering of our window, door and glazing requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that orders are processed accurately, materials are ordered on time and everything required for manufacture and installation is available when needed. Working closely with our sales, manufacturing and installation teams, you will coordinate the process from order through to production and installation readiness, dealing directly with suppliers and resolving any issues along the way. The role will include ordering PVC and aluminium windows and doors, glass, hardware, profiles, trims and associated materials, monitoring supplier lead times, checking specifications and ensuring production schedules can be met. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple projects at different stages. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to identify potential problems early and take ownership of getting them resolved. Experience within the window, door, glazing, construction or manufacturing industry would be advantageous, although we would consider someone with strong organisational and purchasing experience from another industry. Key responsibilities will include: Process window, door and glazing orders accurately and efficiently following the company's procedures. Review job specifications, drawings and measurements to ensure all products and materials have been correctly specified. Place and manage orders for PVC and aluminium windows and doors, glass, hardware, profiles, accessories and associated materials. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing, confirm specifications and manage lead times. Monitor outstanding orders and ensure materials arrive in line with the production and installation programme. Coordinate with the sales, estimating, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure everyone has the correct information. Check incoming products and materials against orders and specifications, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Ensure all necessary components are available before jobs are released for manufacture. Maintain accurate records of orders, delivery dates, specifications and outstanding items. Monitor supplier lead times and proactively identify potential delays. Coordinate with the production team to ensure manufacturing schedules are achievable and materials are available when required. Communicate any changes, shortages or delays promptly to the relevant members of the team. Assist with planning production workloads and prioritising jobs according to installation dates and customer requirements. Identify and resolve ordering or specification issues before they reach the manufacturing or installation stage. Work closely with the Operations & Maintenance Coordinator to ensure completed products are available and ready for installation. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and help negotiate lead times, pricing and service levels. Look for opportunities to improve the company's ordering, production and stock-control processes. Take ownership of each order, ensuring it progresses smoothly from initial processing through to production and installation readiness. Candidate Criteria Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience in purchasing, procurement, order processing or production coordination. Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines and priorities effectively. Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Confident using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems. Ability to work independently, take ownership and meet production deadlines. Experience within the window, door, glazing, construction or manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
