Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the design, development and improvement of new and existing HVAC products. Responsibilities include preparing sales drawings, designing units and manufacturing drawings, and entering required part and project information into the ERP system. A successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of drafting, design and CAD.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Create and maintain 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Prepare sales drawings showing unit layouts, overall dimensions and project requirements.
• Develop unit models and manufacturing drawings based on project specifications and approved sales drawings.
• Enter and maintain required part, assembly and project information in the ERP system, including bills of materials as assigned.
• Check models, drawings and bills of materials for accuracy and consistency before submitting for review.
• Maintain CAD files and revisions using SolidWorks PDM and follow established review procedures.
• Work with other engineers and designers in the design and optimization of products.
• Work with manufacturing on the shop floor to resolve design issues.
