Program Coordinator

We are looking for a Program Coordinator for Shepherd, a 24/7 Behavioral Health Residential Facility. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Coordinator is expected to serve as a participating member of the client’s team and provide services to promote positive behavioral change for clients. Responsible for clinical oversight of client care, and to the team as it relates to the delivery of services, including the assessment and service planning processes. Provides or coordinates all covered services (e.g. case management, skills training, medication education, assisting with the self-administration of meds, group counseling, and coordination of care with outpatient teams including guardians and Office of Human Rights advocates) to address clients’ individual treatment needs. Responsible for providing ongoing training, support and education to their team. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing facility maintenance and repair needs, including identifying concerns, and following up to ensure completion.

Minimum Qualifications :

Must meet one of the following:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree, plus two (2) years behavioral health work experience
  • Associate degree plus four (4) years behavioral health work experience
  • High School Diploma or GED plus Peer Support Specialist certification from an AHCCCS approved training program plus five (5) years of behavioral health work experience
  • High School Diploma or GED plus six (6) years of behavioral health work experience

Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance is required.

Additional Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age (automobile insurance requirement) and possess a valid AZ driver’s license with a “clean” or “acceptable” driving record. An unacceptable driving record includes (but is not limited to) the following:

  • more than two [2] moving violations in the last three [3] years or;
  • more than one [1] at-fault accident within the last three [3] years or;
  • any major violation (i.e. DUI, Careless/Reckless Driving, Drag Racing, Hit and Run) within the last three [3] years.

Other driving related violations may be considered unacceptable. At time of job offer, submission of 39-month driving record from DMV will be required. These standards must be maintained throughout employment and up-to-date driving records are reviewed regularly for current employees.
