The Program Management Lead will manage a small team responsible for tracking, governing, and communicating the status of Innovation projects within the Advanced Autonomy, Connectivity, and Disruptive Innovation perimeter. Beyond portfolio governance, the role will actively define insertion tactics by identifying which vehicle, powertrain, and module programs provide the best implementation opportunities for each innovation project. The role partners with Project Technical Leads, planning organizations, advanced engineering teams, and leadership stakeholders to remove roadblocks, manage risks, and ensure innovation projects are carried through the development phase of selected programs. The Program Management Lead is also responsible for ensuring the portfolio delivers measurable value to Stellantis and remains aligned with corporate strategy, TERE priorities, and future mobility objectives. In addition, this role will also support the Vision Days process, coordinating activities from concept ideation through concept creation, partnering with Cross-Functional Teams, and working with key senior leadership stakeholders to prepare for the twice-yearly Vision Days seminar with the CEO and SLT members. This includes close collaboration with Advanced Design, Advanced Vehicle Engineering, Corporate Market Intelligence, and other functional stakeholders to mature concept ideas into high-level feasible concept proposals for the final Vision Days seminar presentation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead a small team supporting multiple project portfolios and innovation planning.
- Work closely with planning and advanced engineering teams to define insertion tactics and maximize project connections into new and existing vehicle, powertrain, and module programs.
- Serve as a key interface between Technology Research, vehicle program planning, advanced engineering, brand teams, and regional stakeholders to identify where innovation projects can create value and transition into production-intent opportunities.
- Identify target implementation paths for innovation projects and support carry-through with advanced development teams as projects transition into the development phase of selected programs.
- Communicate Innovation Project status regularly and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Own the portfolio governance cadence, including project reviews, leadership reporting, risk and opportunity tracking, action-item follow-up, and alignment of portfolio priorities with TERE and corporate strategic objectives.
- Present project status, risks, opportunities, and key decisions regularly to senior leadership.
- Lead Project Technical Leads through issue resolution, roadblock removal, and identification of systemic process inefficiencies that require escalation or corrective action.
- Develop, maintain, and improve portfolio management tools, dashboards, templates, and standard work to support consistent project tracking, prioritization, reporting, and decision-making across the team.
- Develop, standardize, and continuously improve project management processes to ensure efficient portfolio execution and consistent reporting.
- Align program management team to support TERE goals & priorities
- Coach, prioritize, and develop Program Managers by providing clear direction, removing barriers, reinforcing accountability, and creating an inclusive team environment that supports collaboration and growth.
- Support the Vision Days process from concept ideation through concept creation, including coordination with Concept Cross-Functional Teams and key senior leadership stakeholders.
- Coordinate preparation for the twice-yearly Vision Days seminar with the CEO and SLT members, ensuring concept proposals are structured, aligned, and ready for final executive presentation.
- Work closely with Advanced Design, Advanced Vehicle Engineering, Corporate Market Intelligence, and other functional stakeholders to evolve concept ideas into high-level feasible proposals with clear customer value, technical direction, and strategic fit.
