If you're passionate about technology and eager to shape the future — TEKEVER is the place for you.

Mission:

TEKEVER is recruiting a Project Manager for an operational UAS programme delivered to a UK MOD customer. The role is dedicated to this single programme and reports directly to the Programme Director. The programme supports the sustainment of a fleet of deployed UAS in continuous operational use. Planning timescales are short and priorities change frequently in response to operational requirements.

The work covers delivery coordination, fleet sustainment support, scheduling, reporting, and risk management. The programme's delivery tracking runs in Jira and Confluence, and the Project Manager owns that environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivery coordination: convert programme decisions into tracked, owned actions across engineering, operations, logistics, and commercial teams in the UK and Portugal, and follow them through to closure.

  • Fleet sustainment support: coordinate the planning, tasking, and tracking that keeps the deployed fleet available and supported.

  • Jira and Confluence ownership: administer and improve the programme's boards, workflows, and documentation spaces; maintain them as the authoritative record of delivery status.

  • Scheduling and planning: maintain accurate programme schedules and re-plan as operational requirements change.

  • Reporting: run the programme's reporting cycle, producing outputs appropriate to each audience from working level to executive.

  • Risk management: maintain the risk register, track mitigation actions to completion, and escalate with recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Project delivery experience in the Defence sector — industry or military — with an understanding of the MOD customer environment.

  • Working competence in Jira and Confluence, including configuring boards and workflows, from regular hands-on use.

  • Experience driving actions to closure across teams outside your direct line management.

  • A recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner) or equivalent experience.

  • Strong written and spoken English.

  • Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance; TEKEVER will sponsor vetting. Existing clearance is an advantage.

  • Right to work in the UK.

Conditions of the role:

  • Based at the TEKEVER Bristol site.

  • Occasional travel (approximately quarterly) to TEKEVER sites in the UK and Portugal and to customer locations.

  • Occasional extended hours at short notice in response to operational need. Time off in lieu (TOIL) is provided.

What we have to offer you:

At TEKEVER, we offer a comprehensive package designed to reward, support, and develop our people. This includes a highly competitive salary with a discretionary annual bonus and a company pension contribution match of up to 10%. To support your wellbeing, we provide 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, Private Medical Insurance (with optional family cover), Private Dental care, and an Employee Assistance Programme.

We are deeply committed to investing in future talent; our scale allows us to provide clear career development opportunities and dedicated initiatives to boost your skill sets, ensuring you remain future-ready for the evolving workplace. Furthermore, our team enjoys a flexible hybrid working model, typically three days a week at our core UK sites like Bristol, and access to a bespoke rewards platform featuring a variety of high street discounts and salary sacrifice schemes, including Electric Car, Cycle to Work, and Technology options.
