The Quality Assurance Manager has overall supervisory responsibility for personnel and activities in the quality assurance department. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16949:2016 certification requirements for this site and eventually participating regionally in RTP Company’s internal audit program.

Work Schedule: 1st Shift

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality objectives are met: On-Time Shipment, Conforming Product, and Customer Satisfaction
  • Develop, Implement, and Maintain site quality management system (ISO 9001:2015& IATF 16949:2016)
  • Perform the function of host and local expert for customer and 3rd party quality system audits, and customer visits.
  • Provide support for all areas as it relates to the site quality system
  • Perform Internal and External quality system audits as assigned
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the QA Lab test equipment and procedures
  • Provide training of QA lab employees on all lab related activities
  • Must be available 24 hrs. to accept Quality calls from the lab or Production Group
  • Order and maintain inventory of Laboratory Supplies
  • Determine Product Disposition as Conforming or Nonconforming daily
  • Perform Administrative Duties – Attend Staff Meetings, complete time sheets and personnel reports, approve vacations and schedule overtime
  • Coordinate the continuous refinement of systems used in the lab
  • Perform specification reviews both internal and external as required
  • Project work as assigned by Corporate QA
  • Knowledge of Color Formulations and making color sheets
  • Completing I.T. responsibilities backing up system / working with I.T. department

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific field or sufficient combination of related education and work experience is required.
  • ISO Auditor Certification to ISO 9001 & IATF 16949:2016 lead Auditor / Core tools are required.

Physical Requirements and Working Condition:

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Travel may be required on a limited basis.
  • Complete weekly Storm Water environmental site inspection
