Quantitative Python Developer

Build Python software for quantitative research and trading at Squarepoint, partnering with researchers across asset classes. Design scalable workflows that support investment technology.

As a Quantitative Developer, you will work directly with quantitative researchers to design, implement, deploy, and use software. You will collaborate with technologists and research teams across asset classes to advance Squarepoint’s objectives. The work combines modern software development with quantitative applications, project ownership, and technical communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design efficient workflows for quantitative research and trading
• Build scalable software supporting research and trading activities
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers on software development
• Coordinate with technology peers to maximize component reuse
• Own projects throughout their full engineering lifecycle

Requirements:

• Degree in applied math, physics, engineering, quantitative finance, or computer science
• Four or more years of Python experience
• Experience with version control and agile development
• Excellent technical communication skills
• Experience designing software solutions is beneficial
