ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that support Rosenbauer America's strategic business objectives. This role provides leadership for enterprise technology projects, including infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity initiatives, ERP enhancements, software implementations, business process improvements, and digital transformation efforts. The Project Manager partners closely with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are successfully planned, executed, and implemented. This position is responsible for driving project governance, managing risks and resources, supporting organizational change, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value while aligning with organizational priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Project Leadership and Delivery: Lead and manage multiple complex technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  2. Project Planning and Governance: Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, scope, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, communication plans, and governance processes that support successful project execution.
  3. Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Drive timely resolution of challenges and escalate concerns when necessary to protect project outcomes.
  4. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Provide project portfolio reporting, dashboards, executive summaries, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, steering committee reviews, vendor discussions, and cross-functional communications to ensure alignment and transparency.
  5. Financial and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, forecasts, approvals, purchase coordination, and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor financial performance and resource utilization to support effective decision-making and project success.
  6. Vendor and Partner Management: Support vendor evaluations, implementation activities, contract coordination, and ongoing vendor performance management. Collaborate with leadership, purchasing, and external partners to ensure vendor-delivered solutions meet business and project expectations.
  7. Change Management and User Adoption: Lead organizational change management efforts by supporting communication planning, training coordination, user adoption strategies, and transition activities. Help ensure successful deployment and long-term adoption of technology solutions.
  8. Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and technology utilization across the organization. Partner with stakeholders to evaluate solutions that deliver measurable business value and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Technology Strategy and Portfolio Management: Support IT strategic planning efforts by evaluating project priorities, resource capacity, business impacts, and implementation readiness. Collaborate with IT leadership to maintain the technology roadmap and align project portfolios with organizational goals.
  10. Project Management Excellence: Promote project management best practices and methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches. Ensure projects are executed with a focus on quality, customer satisfaction, operational improvement, risk management, and return on investment.
  11. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to support departmental objectives and organizational needs. Maintain flexibility and adaptability to address changing business priorities and technology requirements.
