**Tasks \& Responsibilities:**  
* Execute end\-to\-end workflows for tissue specimens, including processing, embedding, sectioning, staining (including immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH) and immunofluorescence (IF)) and digital pathology techniques such as whole slide scanning
* Perform quality control, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting across a range of histology lab instruments to ensure high\-quality data production
* Provide training and support in the use of histology equipment, and collaborate with laboratory scientists to optimize tissue\-based assays in early drug discovery research projects
**Must Haves:**
* You hold a university degree in the life sciences or are a Laboratory Technologist with at least 3 years of histology laboratory experience
* You have exceptional skills in the histological preparation of mammalian tissues, including hands\-on experience in fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining techniques, along with an in\-depth knowledge of the operation and maintenance of histological laboratory equipment, and a solid understanding of regulations for assay documentation to ensure high\-quality data generation
* You are a skilled experimentalist with a keen attention to detail along with robust manual dexterity and precision handling of delicate samples, such as cryopreserved nervous\-system tissues, to ensure accurate and reproducible tissue preparation (e.g. cryosectioning, sectioning of in vitro samples such as organoids
* Customer\-focused with a drive for growth and a questioning mindset. Skilled in creative problem\-solving, organization, and implementing innovative ideas efficiently in a fast\-paced research context
* Excellent communicators with a high fluency in English, a desire to continuously build a personal network and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, inclusive environment which gives you full accountability for your own contributions and development
