SAP Test Analyst

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience as a Test Analyst or Senior Test Analyst
• Demonstrable SAP testing experience
• Strong understanding of System Testing and test methodologies
• Experience with Risk Based Testing
• Experience creating test cases, test scripts, and test plans
• Strong XML experience, including validation and manipulation
• Experience using JIRA or similar defect management tools
• Experience with test automation
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent experience
• Experience with SAP, SQL, Oracle, XML, Java, Windows, TOAD, Maestro, WebMethods, or WebLogic would be beneficial
• TOSCA experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience with large-scale transformation programmes, government or public-sector environments, financial or tax-related systems, complex enterprise SAP environments, or highly regulated environments would be advantageous
• SC eligibility

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, prepare, and execute System Testing in collaboration with the Test Lead and wider project teams
• Review requirements, functional specifications, and APIs to assess testability
• Analyze requirements and risks to identify appropriate test cases and test coverage
• Create test scripts, exploratory test charters, and test plans
• Prepare test data and execute System Tests
• Record test results and maintain clear audit trails and evidence
• Apply Risk Based Testing principles
• Retest defects to confirm successful resolution
• Maintain traceability between requirements, risks, specifications, and tests
• Create automated test scripts
• Manage defects using JIRA or similar tools
• Provide regular test status updates and escalate risks and issues
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other technical teams

We are recruiting an experienced SAP Senior Test Analyst for the MTD CESA Futures role, supporting a major transformation programme and release-based projects in a complex enterprise environment. The role is based in Telford with hybrid working and two days per week onsite. This is a six-month contract paying £385 per day inside IR35. We are seeking a testing professional comfortable working across technical and functional teams.
