POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Product, the Senior AI-Native Platform Product Manager owns the internal platform and tools that power how Magellan Jets sells, services, and operates. This role takes problems from why they exist to solutions that measurably change how our teams work, and helps build our next generation of AI-powered automations and AI helpers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

As an Senior AI-Native Platform Product Manager, you will take a hands-on approach to product development, using AI tools to explore our codebase and build working prototypes, and test with users before engineering commits. In this role, you'll serve as the link between the teams who use our internal tools and the engineers who build them, directly improving how Magellan Jets delivers world-class service. This includes:

  • Owning the vision and roadmap for internal tools that support sales, client service, and operations

  • Starting with why: uncover the root problem behind each request and simplify workflows, not just digitize them

  • Defining outcome-based success metrics up front, such as time saved, errors reduced, and adoption, and track them after launch

  • Prototyping quickly with AI coding tools and Figma, building from our engineering code, and test with users before committing engineering time

  • Identifying and build AI-powered automations and AI helpers that take manual, repetitive work off our teams

  • Turning validated prototypes into clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritize the backlog with engineering

  • Owning intake and prioritization of internal requests, communicating trade-offs transparently

  • Driving adoption through demos, rollout, and enablement, then iterate on usage data and feedback

COMPETENCIES:

Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of software product management experience

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Platform product experience shaping internal tools or enterprise software for small businesses, including API and system integrations

  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria with Agile engineering teams

  • Experience with CRM software in sales and client service operations preferred

Skills:

  • Hands-on proficiency with AI tools, including Claude Code, with the ability to pull from an engineering codebase and build working prototypes

  • Working proficiency in Figma

  • Clear communication with front-line users, leaders, and engineers alike

Abilities:

  • Ask why and frame problems before proposing solutions

  • Use data to deliver outcomes, not output.Communicate trade-offs transparently across competing internal priorities

  • Work independently and as part of a fast-paced team environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (if applicable):

This position doesn’t have any supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: onsite at our Quincy, MA headquarters, working side by side with the users of the tools you build

  • Conditions: General office environment with moderate noise levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended periods sitting at a desk or workstation

  • Occasional walking/ movement between work areas (meetings, restrooms, or kitchen)

  • Repetitive Hand and Wrist Movements via frequent typing and use of a mouse

  • Light lifting of office supplies, documents, or equipment (up to 20 lbs)

  • Screen Use: Prolonged use of a computer screen

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a Full-Time Exempt position.

Limited travel may be required.

The Senior AI-Native Platform Product Manager role offers a competitive annual base salary. Final compensation is based on experience and location, and the position includes eligibility for Magellan Jets’ comprehensive benefits package.
