Mission Overview:

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Senior Architect for Audit & Transformation to join our consultancy mission at a client site. This role involves providing independent expertise in auditing and transforming the fiscal application portfolio, ensuring the robustness, relevance, and sustainability of existing and future solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical and architectural audits of existing solutions, those under development, or proposed by external providers.
  • Establish objective diagnostics regarding technical debt, critical dependencies, structural limits, performance, resilience, security, maintainability, and operability.
  • Evaluate the alignment of architectures with business objectives, regulatory constraints, and architectural principles.
  • Identify and prioritize architectural risks along with their business, technical, budgetary, and operational impacts.
  • Define target architectures, transformation scenarios, and migration or modernization trajectories.
  • Perform impact, opportunity, and risk analyses to inform governance decision-making.
  • Challenge choices and estimates proposed by external providers.
  • Lead or contribute to architecture reviews and formalize decisions, conditions, reservations, and action plans.
  • Support teams in implementing recommendations and verify their effective consideration.
  • Measure results obtained and adapt recommendations as circumstances, constraints, or priorities evolve.
  • Contribute to the analysis of complex technical incidents when their causes may be architectural.
  • Clearly present options, trade-offs, risks, costs, and consequences to facilitate decision-making.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in application architecture, including several years in audit, transformation, or architectural governance roles.
  • At least 3 significant missions in architectural auditing, technical debt diagnostics, or transformation of complex systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining modernization trajectories and presenting them to decision-making bodies.
  • Experience in challenging providers, evaluating solutions, and following up on recommendations.
  • Experience in a public, regulated environment or one of comparable complexity.

Expected Deliverables:

  • Audit and architectural diagnostic reports, including findings, evidence, risks, and prioritized recommendations.
  • Maps of components, flows, dependencies, obsolescence, and risks.
  • Documentation of existing and target architectures.
  • Compared transformation scenarios and decision support documents.
  • Modernization roadmaps, migration trajectories, and technical debt reduction plans.
  • Documented architectural decisions, technical opinions, and review minutes.
  • Action plans with priorities, responsibilities, success conditions, and verification criteria.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to distinguish structural issues from secondary topics and prioritize actions.
  • Critical thinking, independence of judgment, and ability to formulate well-supported recommendations.
  • Ability to model, diagram, and explain complex systems.
  • Ability to present options, trade-offs, risks, and costs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to constructively challenge and gain consensus around architectural decisions.
  • Business, solution, and results orientation.
  • Rigor, autonomy, method, and a sense of quality.
  • Aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary environment and managing multiple requests simultaneously.

Evaluation Method:

Analysis of the application file and responses to specific questions. Written test based on an audit and transformation case, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates. The evaluation will focus on the ability to objectify a diagnosis, prioritize risks, compare scenarios, and defend a realistic trajectory.
