Senior Artificial Intelligence Data Engineer

Engineer AI-ready data in Toronto as a Senior Software Developer focused on Python and scalable ETL pipelines. Work hybrid, onsite three days weekly.

This six-month contract leads technical design, development, and sustainment for production-grade data pipelines and reusable data services. Apply advanced Python, complex SQL, Azure data platforms, and integration frameworks. Your work supports artificial intelligence, machine learning, Generative AI, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives through governed data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable ETL and ELT pipelines
• Prepare training, inference, feature, and RAG datasets
• Build reusable data services and integration components
• Embed validation, reconciliation, and error handling
• Optimize pipeline performance, latency, and runtime reliability

Requirements:

• Significant AI/ML and Generative AI pipeline experience
• Advanced Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, and API expertise
• Strong Azure data and AI ecosystem knowledge
• Experience integrating databases, applications, APIs, and repositories
• Degree or equivalent practical experience in a related discipline
