Senior Backend Engineer Cash Out

Build reliable backend services at EarnIn using AI-assisted development and payment platforms in a hybrid Vancouver, BC position. Own systems moving member money.

As a senior backend engineer, you will design, develop, and operate Cash Out services for EarnIn community members. The work spans debit card networks, ACH, FedNow, RTP, REST, gRPC, Kafka, and SNS/SQS. You will partner with product, design, data science, and analytics while owning delivery through production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end Cash Out features
• Build reliable transaction flows with reconciliation and auditability
• Use Cursor and Claude across engineering workflows
• Develop APIs and event-driven backend integrations
• Support incidents, observability, and on-call operations

Requirements:

• Four or more years building backend services
• Computer science degree or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on Cursor and Claude engineering experience
• Experience delivering backend and full-stack work using AI
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and databases
