Senior Backend Engineer TypeScript Node.js

Build TypeScript and Node.js backend services full-time onsite in Toronto for BitGo’s retail mobile user experience. Design robust APIs supporting digital asset products.

As a Senior Software Engineer on BitGo’s Mobile team, you will build the first-time experience for retail users. You will develop API-first platform services using TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. The role includes ownership from inception through deployment, customer integration, and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scalable APIs, libraries, and backend services
• Own features from inception through deployment and integration
• Expose and document functionality for users and developers
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers
• Identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve performance

Requirements:

• Six or more years of backend development experience
• Strong TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB experience
• Strong RESTful API design experience
• Experience with microservices, testing, debugging, and Git
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
