Description

Senior C# / .NET Developer – Trading Technology
London | Hybrid (typically one day per week onsite) | Up to £146,220 base, with a preference around £122,000
We’re supporting a major financial services organisation with the appointment of a Senior C# / .NET Developer into a team responsible for a business-critical trading platform. The business is investing in a substantialmodernisationprogramme, moving an established .NET Framework estate towards modern .NET, microservices and Google Cloud Platform.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity combining legacy modernisation with the delivery of new functionality for the trading business. You’ll work across existing and modern services, help simplify the technology estate and contribute to cloud and database migration work. There’s also scope to take ownership of technical deliveries and support junior engineers.
What we’re looking for
• Excellent hands-on C# and .NET experience, including modern .NET/.NET Core.
• Experience modernising legacy .NET Framework applications.
• Microservices and cloud exposure, ideally GCP, although AWS or Azure will be considered.
• Experience with relational databases; PostgreSQL, SQL Server or Oracle particularly relevant.
• A background in front-office trading or investment banking technology would be advantageous.
• Someone happy to work with legacy code as well as modern platforms.
The position offers a long-term programme of engineering work, strong exposure to trading technology and a flexible hybrid working arrangement. Candidates with strong modernisation experience from other complex technology environments will also be considered.
