Senior IT Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Several years of experience working within an MSP, with experience handling complex third-line support issues; a strong second-line engineer regularly handling escalations may also be suitable.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Good hands-on experience with Intune.
• A good understanding of networking, Azure and general infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting migrations or technical projects is useful.
• Enjoys solving technical problems, takes ownership and is comfortable working across varied customer environments.

Responsibilities:

• Handle complex third-line support escalations across customer environments.
• Troubleshoot issues involving Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure, Windows Server and customer networking infrastructure.
• Contribute to infrastructure improvements and projects, including Microsoft 365 migrations, Modern Workplace deployments, server upgrades and improvements to customer infrastructure.
• Work directly with customers, take ownership of issues, and ensure they are resolved and documented properly.
• Support other engineers and work across a broad range of technologies and customer environments.

We are an MSP based in the West Lancashire area, recruiting a Senior IT Engineer to join our technical team. This is a predominantly third-line support role combining complex technical support with infrastructure and project work. The position is based in Burscough, with hybrid working available after probation. The salary is £37,000–£45,000, with benefits including training and certification support and a pension.
