Description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a strategic Disaster Recovery (DR) and cyber resilience program across APAC and Europe. The role focuses on establishing and expanding regional DR capabilities, enabling recovery of business-critical applications, and introducing recovery automation to improve resilience, recovery speed, and failover readiness. The Project Manager coordinates infrastructure, network, security, application, and business stakeholders to ensure critical services can be recovered within agreed recovery objectives following major disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Disaster Recovery and cyber resilience initiatives across multiple regions and sites.
  • Manage the establishment of an in-region co-location DR facility, including network connectivity, storage, Nutanix, VMware, firewalls, and application onboarding.
  • Coordinate DR enablement and recovery readiness for business-critical applications, including recovery planning, testing, and site failover exercises.
  • Drive implementation of Ansible-based recovery automation, including automated technical runbooks and recovery playbooks.
  • Manage related cyber resilience initiatives, including Citrix modernization, Azure MFA, malware protection, and remediation of identified security findings.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Infrastructure, Network, Security, Applications, Business Continuity, vendors, and regional/site stakeholders.
  • Own project planning, budget, resources, dependencies, RAID management, governance, and executive status reporting.
  • Ensure DR solutions are successfully tested, documented, transitioned to operations, and capable of meeting defined recovery objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, preferably in Disaster Recovery, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or business continuity projects.
  • Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery concepts, business continuity, recovery testing, failover, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience in regulated pharmaceutical environments (GxP documentation).
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects involving technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, storage, networking, firewalls, and co-location/data center environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and recovery orchestration; experience with Ansible is highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity technologies such as MFA, malware protection, Citrix, and security remediation.
  • Proven experience managing global or multi-site projects, technical vendors, risks, budgets, and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, governance, and executive reporting skills.
