Senior Java Application Developer

Build Java applications at Genpact using Spring Boot, databases, and microservices in a hybrid Canadian day-job environment. Work on Sanctions applications.

As a Senior Developer in Application Development, you will support existing and new Sanctions suite initiatives. Your work includes application design, development, testing, and deployment following Agile principles. The technology environment includes Core Java, Spring Boot, REST services, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, SOAP, XML, and databases. You will help address evolving business needs through customizations, architecture improvements, and infrastructure enhancements. The applications screen millions of daily customer and realtime transactions for Sanctions and Adverse Media with sub-second responses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy application code
• Customize Sanctions applications for evolving business needs
• Improve application architecture and infrastructure
• Create Architecture Design Review documents
• Modernize the ecosystem through iterative approaches

Requirements:

• Hands-on Core Java and Spring Boot experience
• Database design, SQL, procedures, and query tuning skills
• Experience with REST, JSON, Kafka, IBM MQ, SOAP, and XML
• Understanding of microservices, SOA, and software architecture
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a listed computing discipline
