Senior Java Developer

Overview

In this role you will advance a flagship platform rebuild for a leading financial services technology vendor in London. You will work on autonomous software at the core of business processes, delivering low-latency, event-driven services for a global client base. You bring deep JVM experience in Java and Kotlin, plus a focus on performance, concurrency, and robust testing. Responsibilities

• Contribute to a flagship platform rebuild and ongoing modernization
• Develop autonomous software components at the core of processes
• Deliver low-latency, highly available event-driven services for a global client base
• Apply cutting-edge technologies to real-world financial technology problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive platform performance and reliability

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in JVM with proficiency in Java and Kotlin
• Strong multi-threading, concurrency, and low-latency capabilities
• Exposure to Kotlin, Strings, Memory Management and related challenges
• Automated testing experience (unit and integration)
• Understanding of message-driven programming and messaging systems
• Experience with FIX and Kafka is a plus
