We are looking for an experienced Senior Microsoft Exchange / Messaging Specialist to join an established infrastructure operations team supporting enterprise customers within a highly regulated financial-services environment. As part of a dedicated Messaging Operations team, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining enterprise-scale Microsoft Exchange environments, ensuring stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical communication platforms.

Your Role

As a Senior Exchange Engineer, you will be responsible for 2nd- and 3rd-level support within complex Microsoft Messaging environments. You will investigate and resolve critical incidents, implement platform changes, and contribute to the ongoing operation of large-scale Exchange infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for Microsoft Exchange environments

• Analyse and resolve complex incidents, disruptions, and escalations

• Administer and operate enterprise messaging platforms

• Plan, test, and deploy Exchange Cumulative Updates

• Perform Exchange recipient provisioning and administration

• Support migration, provisioning, and operational projects

• Work with Active Directory and Exchange-related infrastructure components

• Monitor system health and ensure service stability

• Document solutions, operational procedures, and change activities

• Handle incidents and changes according to ITIL processes

• Collaborate closely with specialists across Messaging, Skype, Teams, and Infrastructure teams

• Manage and process tickets via ServiceNow and Remedy

Must-Have Skills

✅ Several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange On-Premises

✅ Strong expertise in:

• Exchange Server Administration

• Exchange Architecture

• Database Availability Groups (DAG)

• Exchange Cumulative Updates

• Active Directory administration and related constructs

• Incident and Problem Management

✅ Experience in:

• 2nd and 3rd level support environments

• Operational administration and monitoring

• Server provisioning processes

• ITIL-based service environments

• All tickets and requests are handled in German

• Direct communication with end users may be required

A strong Microsoft Exchange background and good German skills are essential.
