Senior NestJS Prisma Backend Engineer

Build NestJS backend services with Prisma for Make The Maker’s multilingual educational platform. Work full-time, Sunday through Thursday, 40 hours weekly.

As a senior backend developer, you will implement core educational features across LMS, authentication, exams, grading, notifications, and communication. The work uses modern TypeScript within an Nx monorepo, with secure authentication and modular architecture. AI, streaming, meetings, eCom, CMS, and scheduling capabilities are also included.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop notification, exam management, grading, and LMS backend services
• Build REST APIs with NestJS patterns and Zod validation
• Design Prisma schemas and PostgreSQL queries efficiently
• Implement RBAC for secure educational workflows
• Write tests and maintain strict code quality standards

Requirements:

• Five-plus years of backend development experience
• Three-plus years using Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL, and REST API experience
• Experience with Zod validation and type-safe development
• RBAC, security best practices, and Jest testing experience
