Description
Company Overview
Red 6 is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup leading the way in synthetic air combat training. Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.
SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER
Next-gen gaming for fighter pilots. Except the jet is real, the G's are real, and you're the one who gets it into the warfighter's hands.
Red 6 is a startup doing something that's never been done: bringing fully immersive 3D synthetic worlds into real aircraft in real flight. Pilots see the actual sky around them, with realistic adversaries, wingmen, terrain, and tankers layered into their view in real time. It replaces decades-old training methods that depend on costly live aircraft or ground simulators. Warfighters get more realistic, repeatable training at a fraction of the cost, and they show up to the fight better prepared.
Now the mission is delivery: taking breakthrough technology from development through test, qualification, and into the field. That's where you come in. You'll own the programs that turn a first-of-its-kind system into real capability for our defense customers.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
The program, end to end. You'll be the single point of accountability for cost, schedule, performance, and risk, from requirements definition through development, test, qualification, and the transition to production or fielding.
The customer relationship. You'll be the primary point of contact for one or more Red 6 contracts, the person our defense customers trust to tell them where things stand and get it done.
The plan and the numbers. You'll set the cost and schedule baselines, run risk and opportunity management, and keep revenue and cash models current, so leadership always knows where the program is headed.
The team that delivers. You'll lead engineering, test, quality, manufacturing, finance, and subcontractors toward a shared goal, and make sure the right people are on the right work at the right time.
The growth engine. You'll partner with business development on proposals, new contracts, and revenue projections, helping shape the programs Red 6 wins next.
The fielded system. You'll track deployed systems and support efforts, including software deployment in government DevSecOps environments, and make sure what we deliver keeps performing.
The guardrails. You'll keep programs compliant with ITAR, security and cybersecurity requirements like CMMC, and AS9100 quality standards, without slowing the team down.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
You're not managing a legacy program. You'll be delivering technology that has never existed before, and your programs will set the model for how Red 6 delivers.
You'll have real ownership and visibility. At a startup, the programs you run are central to the company's success, and leadership will know your name.
Your work matters to warfighters. Every milestone you hit puts better training in the hands of the pilots who need it.
You'll get startup speed with defense-grade discipline. You'll bring structure and rigor to a fast-moving team, and see the impact right away.
You're in early on a company poised to grow and be a leader in the industry. As Red 6 wins more programs, your scope and influence grow with it.
