Description
- Take end-to-end responsibility for our portfolio of large-scale, publicly funded European AI research projects, from kick-off to final reporting
- Steer all work packages across multiple projects: plan scope, milestones and deliverables, track progress and resolve dependencies between partners
Manage multi-partner consortia of industrial companies, research institutions and associations across several EU member states
- Act as the primary contact for funding bodies and project management agencies, owning interim and final reports, change requests and proof of use
- Own project financials in close alignment with Finance, including budget planning, cost tracking, personnel planning and eligibility of costs
- Ensure compliance with national and European funding and state aid requirements, including documentation, dissemination and open-source obligations
- Work closely with our Machine Learning team to translate project objectives into technical work plans and make sure deliverables land on time and in quality
Coordinate dissemination activities such as publications, open-source releases and events across the dataspace ecosystem (e.g. Catena-X)
- Identify project risks early, escalate where needed and drive mitigation
5+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in publicly funded R&D projects with multi-partner consortia (e.g. IPCEI)
Ideally, you have already acted as consortium coordinator and bring experience with dataspaces and a project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2)
Solid knowledge of German and European funding frameworks and their financial rules (e.g. AGVO)
Strong technical affinity: you can discuss AI, machine learning and data architectures with engineers at eye level, without writing code yourself
Proven ability to run several complex workstreams in parallel with a high level of structure and reliability
Excellent stakeholder management skills and comfort working with senior representatives from industry, research and public authorities
Fluent German and English, written and spoken
