Senior Python Backend Engineer

Build Python 3.x backend services and automation tooling at Kumaran Systems, working with REST APIs and Linux production environments.

This senior engineering role requires seven-plus years of production Python development using Python 3.9 or newer. You will develop services with FastAPI, Flask, or Django REST Framework, while supporting Oracle databases, Bash automation, and Git-based workflows. The work covers code through production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Python backend services and automation tooling
• Build and consume RESTful APIs with supported frameworks
• Operate Linux systems, users, groups, sudoers, and permissions
• Write Bash scripts for deployment and scheduling
• Diagnose production issues using Linux tools and logs

Requirements:

• Seven-plus years of production Python development experience
• Deep understanding of sudo, sudoers, and privilege delegation
• Proficiency with Bash, cron, logrotate, and SSH automation
• Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, tuning, and Python drivers
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant discipline
• Apply Python, REST APIs, Linux operations, and Oracle expertise to production services at Kumaran Systems.
