Senior Red Team Analyst

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in infrastructure and web application security testing using established methodologies
• Demonstrable experience with open-source security testing tools, such as Kali and Parrot operating systems
• Understanding of software engineering principles
• Confidence preparing comprehensive, accurate security testing reports for internal audiences and delivering briefings on findings when required
• Broad and detailed experience with technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, Active Directory, endpoint protection, Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, networks, cloud, CDNs, and vulnerability management

Responsibilities:

• Continually test and validate security controls and SOC detection capabilities to assess the effectiveness of defensive measures against evolving threats
• Support Red Team exercises, critical control testing, cyber hygiene assessments, and penetration testing
• Prepare accurate reports for internal audiences, grade vulnerabilities in the context of BAE Systems, and pass findings to resolver groups for resolution
• Ensure remediation is carried out in line with documented processes
• Identify security weaknesses and misconfigurations and raise them with appropriate resolver groups
• Contribute to the development of Red Team services across people, processes, and technology
• Maintain a broad understanding of the external threat environment and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures
• Support organisational and departmental objectives, maintain high security standards, and provide Cyber Operations leadership with assurance about security monitoring and detection capabilities

We are recruiting a Senior Red Team Analyst for a mostly remote role, with two days on site per month. The salary is up to £60,000, with bonus and benefits.
