SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Integration Developer with a strong background in database development, enterprise data integration, ETL processes, and application connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, IBM DB2, and SQL-based systems, along with expertise in integrating heterogeneous enterprise applications and databases.

The role involves designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing database integration solutions to support enterprise applications, data migration, and business-critical data processing.

The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with IBM DataStage, SQL development, data transformation, API-based integration, and enterprise middleware technologies.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database integration solutions across multiple enterprise systems.
• Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Work with relational database platforms, including Oracle, IBM DB2, and other SQL-based databases.
• Implement database-to-database integration and data synchronization processes.
• Support data migration activities between heterogeneous database platforms.
• Troubleshoot database connectivity, data consistency, and integration issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage or similar ETL technologies.
• Implement data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes.
• Develop reusable ETL components for enterprise data integration.
• Optimize ETL job execution and improve overall data processing performance.
• Implement data validation, error handling, and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Support batch processing and large-volume data integration.
• Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise applications and backend databases.
• Implement REST and SOAP APIs to enable secure data exchange between systems.
• Work with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, and Azure Integration Services.
• Design data mapping and transformation logic using JSON, XML, and SQL.
• Integrate enterprise applications such as SAP, Salesforce, and other business platforms.
• Support synchronous and asynchronous data integration patterns.
• Develop cloud-based integration solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Work with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure API Management.
• Implement secure connectivity between on-premises databases and cloud applications.
• Support event-driven integration using Kafka or IBM MQ.
• Participate in modernization and migration of legacy integration solutions.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and data validation.
• Develop automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD tools.
• Troubleshoot production incidents related to database and application integrations.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Maintain technical documentation for integration workflows and database interfaces.
• Collaborate with application developers, database administrators, architects, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, or software engineering roles.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, enterprise-grade solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong SQL development skills.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle and IBM DB2.
• Experience in database integration, data migration, and data validation.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
• Knowledge of query optimization and database performance tuning.
