Senior Software Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop software for new AGD products and enhance existing products with new features and improved functionality. Working predominantly in C++ and Python, your main focus will be our AI-based optical traffic detectors, while also contributing to other products across AGD.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Verification and Commercial, taking a product-focused approach to delivering reliable, high-quality software for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance software for new and existing traffic detection products.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to integration, testing and release.
• Take responsibility for the quality and reliability of integrated software.
• Investigate product performance and support the resolution of issues reported from products in service.
• Produce technical documentation and test evidence to support software releases.

Skills & Experience

• Strong C++ and Python software development skills.
• Experience developing software for Linux-based embedded systems and edge devices.
• Good understanding of software architecture, testing, debugging and Git version control.
• Experience delivering software through development, integration and release.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a collaborative, product-focused approach.
• Experience with image processing, AI-based image detection, OpenCV, TensorRT or device communications would be advantageous.
