Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Join an AI-focused B2B SaaS engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer, designing and operating distributed systems and AI-powered products. You will own significant systems end-to-end and help deliver reliable, high-performing software at scale.

What You'll Do

• Own significant systems and features from design through production operation.
• Build and operate large-scale distributed systems, selecting and combining technologies such as Kafka and databases to solve complex problems.
• Break down ambiguous challenges and deliver solutions with accountability for reliability, performance, and cost.
• Build AI-native agent systems for users around the world.

What We're Looking For

• 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience, including ownership and operation of distributed systems serving large user bases.
• Experience designing systems for large-scale data and distributed workloads.
• Background at a startup, an AI-focused company, or in an early engineering role.
• Experience with Ruby, Rails, Python, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch, along with database systems or LLM-based applications.
• Familiarity with React, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and GCP is relevant to the role.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot or Cursor, and strong computer science fundamentals or 5+ years of work experience.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $170,000 to $311,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Hybrid work arrangement, with three days per week in the San Francisco, California office.
