Position: Senior Solutions Designer – CRM

Client: Ontario Public Service – Health Services Cluster

Location: 5700 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite – 5 days per week

Contract: November 2, 2026 – October 5, 2027

Extension: 1 possible extension, subject to contract terms

Hours: 7.25 hours/day, Monday–Friday, within 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

Our client, the Ontario Public Service – Health Services Cluster, is seeking a Senior Solutions Designer – CRM with strong hands-on Salesforce solution design, configuration, development, integration, and production support experience.

The successful candidate will work on complex CRM solutions within a healthcare environment, with a strong focus on Salesforce, Vlocity/OmniStudio, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Experience Cloud, Dynamic Forms, integrations, accessibility, security, and Agile delivery.

This role requires a highly hands-on technical professional who can design, configure, troubleshoot, document, test, and support enterprise Salesforce solutions across Development and Production environments.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Solutions Designer will be responsible for:

  • Designing hosting technology and application solutions based on client service specifications, standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Planning, implementing, configuring, and supporting complex Salesforce CRM systems.
  • Designing, developing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Salesforce solutions.
  • Ensuring application solutions are implemented in accordance with approved business requirements.
  • Configuring and integrating Salesforce with other applications using web services and other integration mechanisms.
  • Conducting fit/gap analysis between high-level requirements and Salesforce Public Sector capabilities.
  • Designing and supporting prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
  • Conducting technical research and assessing options for complex design issues.
  • Performing root-cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve defects, incidents, and production issues.
  • Diagnosing application issues and determining appropriate methods for incident management.
  • Developing and maintaining system design models, technical specifications, program code, and technical documentation.
  • Creating and maintaining build books and implementation documentation.
  • Supporting performance measurement and documenting new environments.
  • Designing and developing web applications that function across modern browsers, platforms, and mobile devices.
  • Ensuring solutions meet AODA/accessibility requirements.
  • Applying appropriate usability, security, privacy, and technical design principles to web and mobile applications.
  • Ensuring Salesforce security configurations comply with organizational requirements.
  • Participating in Agile delivery using epics, features, user stories, story points, and related Agile practices.
  • Contributing to project planning, work breakdown structures, resource estimates, and technical delivery plans.
  • Implementing and supporting CI/CD practices.
  • Ensuring unit testing meets expected functionality requirements.
  • Providing application fixes and technical support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities.
  • Supporting defect management and resolution throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Supporting production deployment and post-implementation activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable architecture frameworks, enterprise standards, security requirements, and development methodologies.
  • Preparing knowledge-transfer materials and providing knowledge transfer to project and support teams.
  • Developing and/or supporting training and communication materials for large-scale system implementations.

  • Experience analyzing and resolving issues involving applications, systems, software, hardware, or telecommunications.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and incident-resolution capabilities.
  • Experience providing fixes to support UAT, deployment, and production activities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible, motivated, and creative approach to complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior hands-on Salesforce Solutions Designer who combines enterprise CRM architecture/design skills with strong practical configuration and development experience.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications / Must-Haves

Candidates must demonstrate the following:

Salesforce – Hands-On Experience

  • 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience designing, configuring, developing, maintaining, and supporting Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Salesforce implementations in both Development and Production environments.
  • Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant – Mandatory
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
  • Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • 3+ years of experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Dynamic Forms.

Vlocity / Salesforce OmniStudio – Mandatory

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Vlocity platform capabilities, including:

  • FlexCards
  • DataRaptors
  • Integration Procedures
  • Calculation Matrices
  • Calculation Procedures
  • OmniScripts
  • Vlocity Data Model
  • Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC)

Salesforce Integration – Mandatory

  • Demonstrated experience integrating Salesforce with internal/subsidiary applications using web services or other integration mechanisms.
  • Experience troubleshooting Salesforce integrations across Development and Production.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security settings, governor limits, and platform limitations.
  • Experience with CI/CD, preferably within Salesforce implementation projects.
  • MuleSoft knowledge is considered an asset.

AODA / Accessibility – Mandatory

  • Demonstrated experience implementing AODA-compliant solutions.
  • Understanding of accessibility requirements when designing and developing web and mobile applications.

Healthcare / Public Sector Experience

  • 5+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically supporting and maintaining systems such as:
    • Long-Term Care systems
    • Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
    • Hospital Information Systems (HISs)
    • Clinical Assessment tools
    • Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS) compliant systems
  • Knowledge of personal health information protection legislation and its application to the development and maintenance of healthcare systems containing personal health information is preferred.
