Senior Technical Business Analyst

Description

Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location: Remote, UK - with very occasional travel to client site in the North
Duration: Initially 3 months with high probability of further extensions
Industry: Consultancy - client facing consultancy experience preferred
Rate: £425 per day, outside IR35
We're looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst who combines strong analysis skills with a genuine interest in product design, user experience and solution architecture.
This is not a traditional Business Analyst role centred around documenting requirements or supporting system implementations. We're looking for someone who enjoys shaping solutions from the earliest stages of discovery, working alongside clients, designers and engineers to create intuitive digital experiences and well-structured software solutions.
You'll play a key role in defining how applications should work, how users interact with them, and how development teams translate ideas into successful products. This role combines technical analysis, solution design, wireframing and user experience thinking with the core responsibilities of a senior Business Analyst.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding user needs, business objectives and operational challenges.
  • Translating ideas and requirements into practical digital solutions.
  • Creating user journeys, process flows, wireframes and prototypes.
  • Helping shape application structure, functionality and user interactions.
  • Defining epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
  • Working closely with developers, architects and designers to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable and user-friendly.
  • Supporting backlog refinement and Agile delivery activities.
  • Reviewing delivered functionality against requirements and business outcomes.
  • Supporting testing, user acceptance activities and product validation.
We're interested in people who can comfortably move between business conversations, user experience discussions and technical delivery teams.
A key part of this role involves shaping the user experience, not just documenting requirements.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience with:
  • Wireframing and prototyping.
  • Front-end and GUI design considerations.
  • User journey mapping.
  • Designing intuitive digital experiences.
  • Figma, Balsamiq or similar tools.
  • Responsive and accessible design principles.
  • Working closely with UX/UI designers and front-end developers
Please apply immediately to be considered.
