Salary: £27,500 - 27,500 per year
Requirements:- Detailed knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET Core, JavaScript, Ajax, VB.NET, C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, HTML, and CSS
- Ability to carry out detailed testing during the development cycle
- Ability to create and organise documentation, and to speak and write clearly
- Positive work ethic; enthusiasm, proactivity, adaptability, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work constructively with others, solve problems within a team, and deal with problems politely and effectively
- Methodical approach and care; ability to prioritise tasks, identify potential development delays, and communicate them promptly
- Punctuality
- Knowledge of code management systems or methods is desirable
- Experience with code development principles and documentation, including unit, system, integration, volume/capacity, and user acceptance testing, is desirable
- Ability to work to objectives set at review meetings
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Two years of software development experience preferred
- Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom
- Must be able to work in the office, with the option to work from home one day per week once able to work independently
- Develop and maintain an understanding of our core systems and business practices
- Write code using the current version of Visual Studio and other tools
- Create, edit, and script MS SQL Server databases using SQL Management Studio
- Design, develop, and maintain web forms using ASP.NET and .NET Core
- Support client systems through our ticket support system
- Contribute constructive ideas to new and existing projects
- Suggest ways to improve the efficiency, performance, and reliability of our systems
- Occasionally answer the telephone and take messages
- Occasionally communicate with clients, including through online and in-person meetings

We are Blueteq, founded in 2005 to provide bespoke software to the NHS. We work directly with clients to develop the systems they need and are established in 90% of Trusts in England, throughout Wales, and in Jersey. Since becoming an Employee Ownership Trust in May 2025, we have been run on behalf of our employees, who can share in the companys financial success. This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to our Software Development Director and accountable to our Managing Director. It is based in person at our office in Havant, with one day of working from home per week available once you can work independently. Hours are 37.5 per week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an unpaid one-hour lunch and a 4:00 p.m. finish on Fridays. Starting salary is £27,500, rising to £28,552.50 after successful completion of a six-month probation period. Benefits include 20 days annual leave plus public holidays, an additional day per year of service up to 25 days, a company pension, free and on-site parking, gym membership, and profit sharing. We provide onboarding support, a team buddy, daily stand-up meetings, regular appraisals, and six-monthly performance reviews with annual salary reviews. The role offers daily client-facing work and opportunities to move into project work and develop technical skills.
