Software Developer - Full Stack - Senior

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer with strong experience in AI-enabled applications, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agent-based workflows.

This role will support the Curriculum AI Assistant Platform, focused on accelerating curriculum development using AI while maintaining human oversight and decision-making authority.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and support AI-powered applications
• Build and integrate AI agents and multi-step workflows
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and document processing solutions
• Enable human-in-the-loop workflows for validation and approvals

2. Full Stack Development

• Develop scalable enterprise web applications (frontend + backend)
• Build and integrate REST APIs and backend services
• Work with databases, data models, and ETL pipelines
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

3. Cloud & Integration

• Develop solutions using Microsoft Azure (Functions, API Management, Logic Apps)
• Implement authentication & security (Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO, MFA)
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs

4. Agile Delivery

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming)
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate with BA, UX, QA, Architects, and Product teams

5. Security & Quality

• Apply security-by-design principles
• Implement RBAC, audit logging, and data protection
• Ensure compliance with AODA & WCAG accessibility standards
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews

6. Documentation & Support

• Prepare technical documentation and architecture artifacts
• Support deployment, troubleshooting, and production maintenance
• Assist in knowledge transfer and technical walkthroughs

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Experience developing AI-powered applications (LLMs, AI agents)
• Strong hands-on with API development & integration
• Experience with document processing & workflow automation
• Experience implementing human-in-the-loop AI systems
• Full stack development experience (frontend + backend)

Work Environment

• Onsite: 5 days/week in Toronto
