Software Developer (React, Node.js) (Remote)

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• Around 3–4+ years of professional JavaScript development experience
• Strong experience with React
• Solid experience building back-end services with Node.js
• Understanding of web application security, including authentication, authorisation, data protection and OWASP principles
• Experience using Git or another version control system
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated, resourceful approach and ability to work independently
• Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure is useful but not essential
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes is useful but not essential
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or DevOps practices is useful but not essential
• Knowledge of TypeScript is useful but not essential

Responsibilities:

• Build responsive front-end applications using React
• Develop server-side applications and RESTful APIs with Node.js
• Write clear, efficient and well-documented JavaScript
• Apply secure development practices to protect applications and user data
• Identify and help resolve security vulnerabilities
• Work with designers, product managers and other developers to deliver features
• Take part in code reviews and share constructive feedback
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack
• Contribute to technical decisions and improve development processes
