Cocient connects software engineers with the AI labs building frontier models. Experts on Cocient work remotely, on their own schedule, on some of the most cutting-edge problems in AI.

What you'll do

• Teach frontier AI models how experienced engineers really build software: architecture, trade-offs, debugging and all
• Hand them the kind of messy, real-world problems you'd find in a production codebase, and critique their solutions the way you'd review a pull request
• Shape the coding tools that developers everywhere will soon depend on

Who we're looking for

• Substantial hands-on experience as a professional software engineer
• Strong command of one or more major programming languages, and of system design, testing and debugging
• Clear, precise written English
• A degree in computer science or a related field, or open-source work you can point to, is a plus

• Fully remote; set your own hours

• Independent contractor (contract / part-time)
• Paid hourly between $70 and $150 depending on experience level
