Overview

As a Software Engineer Architect, you will shape the software architecture for strategic cyber defence initiatives, guiding the full lifecycle from requirements to integration. You’ll work on Java-based web applications, distributed systems, and microservices, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in a demanding tech environment. This role blends architectural design with hands-on development to deliver robust solutions. You’ll contribute to design documentation and help drive agile delivery, with a clear impact on cyber operations capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Understand needs and define requirements for strategic cyber defence projects
• Design architectures for Java-based web applications and distributed systems
• Develop and integrate solutions, focusing on REST APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an agile setting
• Create technical and design documentation; specify components, services, and interfaces
• Contribute to architecture, analysis, and development throughout the software lifecycle

Requisitos principales

• 2+ years of experience in software architecture, analysis and development
• Experience with Java-based web applications
• Functional analysis and requirements specification familiarity
• Web application and distributed systems architecture design
• Service-oriented architectures (SOA) and microservices
• UML modelling and tools (Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm or similar)
• Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Design and implementation of REST APIs
• Design of components, services and interfaces
• Experience working in agile environments
