Staff Platform Engineer | AI-Driven Platform, Remote

Lever, Inc. seeks a Staff Platform Engineer in Italy, reporting through a partner company that manages applications and next steps. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership to elevate platform foundations, automate testing, and secure software delivery.

You will shape tooling, pipelines, and development environments for product teams and AI coding agents. You will own secure delivery, encode best practices, and drive adoption across the engineering org, balancing

Shape platform foundations and provide technical leadership for teams. Improve development loop, CI/CD, deployment, and observability. Define engineering standards for testing, IaC, security, and delivery. Build reusable tooling, templates, and golden paths for engineers. Integrate security scanning, secrets, and supply-chain protections. Lead with hands-on contribution to code, pipelines, and tooling. Monitor security landscape and adapt practices for AI agents. Extensive experience designing and operating production-grade platforms. Proven ability to define standards, tooling, and reusable components.
