Erect and install structural steelwork in accordance with drawings, specifications and site requirements. Install steel beams, columns, purlins, rails, structural frames and associated steelwork. Install roof and wall cladding systems, including insulated panels and associated components. Fit flashings, trims, gutters, downpipes and other associated roofing and cladding details. Read and interpret structural steel, cladding and construction drawings. Work safely at height using appropriate access equipment and fall-protection systems. Use hand tools, power tools and other site equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with lifting, positioning and securing steelwork and cladding materials. Work with cranes, MEWPs, telehandlers and other lifting/access equipment where appropriately trained and authorised. Carry out bolting, fixing, cutting, drilling and minor adjustments as required during installation. Work as part of an erection team, communicating effectively with colleagues, site management and other trades. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the required quality and installation standards. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area. Follow all company and site-specific health and safety procedures. Report any hazards, defects, damaged materials or site issues to the relevant supervisor. Carry out other reasonable duties associated with structural steel, roofing and cladding installation. Skills & Experience Essential Previous experience in structural steel erection, cladding, roofing or a similar construction environment. Ability to read and understand construction and structural drawings. Good understanding of safe working practices, particularly when working at height. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Good practical and mechanical aptitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Reliable, punctual and willing to work on construction sites as required. Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
