Job Description

Software you will be working on is distributed technology platform with set of functionalities for hotels, restaurants, spa, golf and more.

Your job will be to lead a cross-functional development team working on a system which consists of many domain-oriented microservices. You will guide and mentor both frontend and backend developers while bringing a smile on the faces of thousands of people working in hotels across the globe.

The position is offered on a 1-year contract

Our Daily Work

• We work in iterations with refinements, plannings and retrospective meetings

• We use Gitlab to sync the code with develop and master branches, and create feature branch for each User Story

• We commit daily and use CI/CD using Gitlab/Jenkins

• We open merge requests and conduct code reviews before merge

• We use docker and docker compose for local development and deployment of all microservices

• We use Teams to communicate and participate in meetings with other team members

• We cooperate with UI/UX department to provide user the best possible looks and feel of application
• We create internal packages (NPM, Nuget) to share work with others and avoid repetitions

• We develop API first-platform with focus on integrations and user experience

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Leading and mentoring a cross-functional team of frontend and backend developers

• Conducting 1-on-1 meetings, performance reviews and career development planning

• Building and maintaining a positive, collaborative team culture

• Managing team capacity, workload distribution and sprint commitments

• Planning and coordinating project deliverables with Product Owners and stakeholders

• Managing project timelines, risks and dependencies

• Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, performant solutions

• Reporting project status and metrics to management

• Coordinating with other teams in multi-region cloud environment

• Defining and maintaining architecture standards for both frontend and backend

• Making key technical decisions regarding technology stack and architectural patterns

• Ensuring code quality through code reviews and establishing coding standards

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years' experience in software development with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role

• Proven experience leading, mentoring and growing cross-functional development teams

• Strong project management skills with ability to plan, execute and deliver projects on time

• Experience managing Agile/Scrum teams and facilitating ceremonies

• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make architectural and strategic decisions

• Knowledge of C#, .NET and Object-Oriented Programming

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems

• Understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD), CQRS and Event Sourcing patterns

• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions (Redis, Elastic Search)

• Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka) and event-driven architectures

• Proficiency with Docker, containerization and cloud environments

• Strong understanding of REST API design and integration patterns

• Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab)

• Understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles and clean code practices

• Experience with code review processes and quality assurance

• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Full-stack development experience

• Experience with multi-region cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration

• Experience with microfrontends architecture

• Familiarity with design systems and component library development
