Trainee Accountant

Our client, a well-established accountancy firm, is looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in accountancy within a supportive and professional environment.

This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates who have completed their AAT qualification and are looking to gain practical experience in an accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Supporting with bookkeeping and VAT returns
• Assisting with tax computations and submissions
• Working with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Providing general support to senior accountants and the wider finance team

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or AAT qualified
• Must have completed studies (not suitable for candidates still in university)
• Available to work full-time
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
