Description

We are growing fast - and we invite you to grow with us. In Innowise, you can not only develop as an expert in your field, solve complex problems and influence the result, but also see how the finished project affects the world around. We are a close-knit team of professionals who have already implemented 1300+ cases for clients from the USA, Denmark, Germany, etc. We need someone, who will strengthen our team and become part of the community!

BI/DA specialists act as the bridge between raw numbers and real-world business decisions. Their goal isn't just to write scripts or build pretty charts. They take chaotic raw data from various systems, structure it into a reliable analytical architecture, and transform it into interactive dashboards and actionable insights. Thanks to their work, businesses stop guessing and start making data-driven decisions: identifying where to cut costs, where to invest, and how to discover new growth opportunities.

Core Requirements:

  • English: B2 and higher (for working with documentation and communicating with clients).
  • SQL: Confident in writing complex queries (window functions, set operations, views, constraints).
  • Python: Practical experience with Pandas or NumPy libraries.
  • Databases: Understanding of relationship types, Relational vs. NoSQL DBs, ACID principles, normalization/denormalization, and row-oriented vs. columnar storage.
  • Big Data & DWH: Knowledge of fundamental concepts — OLAP vs. OLTP, ETL vs. ELT, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse.
  • Data Modeling: Understanding of Inmon and Kimball approaches (Data Vault is a plus), Star/Snowflake schemas, Fact/Dimension tables, SCD, and Data Marts.

Nice to Have:

  • Analytical background: Previous experience or education in related fields (Economics, Finance, Business or Product Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio) or Python data visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
  • Familiarity with the Big Data ecosystem tools (Spark, Airflow, Kafka, dbt).
  • Basic understanding of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their practical application.
  • German: B1+ and higher.

What We Offer:

Training & Development:

  • No abstraction: All tasks are based strictly on real-world business cases.
  • Your own E2E product: During the traineeship, you will develop a complete End-to-End BI project (from raw data processing to a finished dashboard).
  • Business focus: We will teach you the business side of the profession (how to gather requirements, communicate with stakeholders, and translate business needs into technical solutions).
  • Domain variety: After the traineeship, you will have the chance to work on projects in top industries, including FinTech, MedTech, eCommerce, and more.
  • Onboarding & mentorship: You will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will conduct regular knowledge checks, provide detailed feedback on your code and architecture, and, most importantly, offer moral support at every stage of your growth.
